It was a great pleasure,( mostly!), to see them again, but was immensely draining.
I am thinking hard about whether I can continue with them while my health is still not right. I have been photographed from every imaginable angle by most types of radiation known to man, and had strange dyes injected into me, which tasted very peculiar the moment afterwards and then made my whole body feel very cold then very hot.
It has been an interesting journey and has probably cost the French health system rather a lot of money. I can't say that we are none the wiser, because we do know what I haven't got! No nasty lumps or bumps, and every tube has joined together correctly.
My surgeon, who has given me a nice neat tummy bless him, has got bored with the whole thing and has passed me on to another liver consultant who will be examining my liver at the cellular level, because it still isn't working properly and is tender. Apparently, this will take some time...
I have to say I am feeling rather cheerful and much better when I don't get over tired.
I am obliged to eat the healthiest diet in the world, fat free, high fibre and no alcohol, which is wonderful. I have lost so much weight that my wardrobe is like Aladdin's cave, and I am digging out favourite clothes that I thought I would never wear again. The trouble is that I have to run them all past Darling daughter to see if they have come back in fashion yet...
But, best of all, I am feeling creative again. I'm off to write some music...

I wish you a healthy liver. Take it all nice and slow.
my wardrobe is full of clothes that have finally come back into fashion, alas, my body has not...
but I hope that they soon find the problem and restore you to health, albeit more svelte and slim
thank you both for your well wishing.
Porridge got a walk this afternoon-the energy is returning!
