Love is in the air (or it was quite recently)

Now I know that I promised this would not be an animal (oh isn't she sweet !) pink fluffy sort of blog. But this post is due to circumstances beyond my control. Yes, you've got it it in one: kitty has been out on the tiles while her owner was in India. I was given no instructions as to her protection against rampant Breton toms, and the inevitable has happened...well actually it was evitable but let's not go there.

Even as we speak she is huddling in a piece of my old stage furniture (it used to be lit up and filled with shoes, one pair for each song!) in the garage under towels and blankets, to make her both cold proof and Porridge proof. Peering through the gap has revealed a few dark blobs, I think only four...I hope only four...

Now the race is on. Darling D informs me that another girl in her class is expecting kittens (if you know what I mean). It is not a sellers market, but she says she might be able to whip up some interest. We must be quick and hope that ours are the first out.

I may just possibly post a picture when they are a bit bigger but no soppy comments please. I can't have my reputation as a hard woman undermined.

It is a pity you are all so far away or I'm sure you would just love one wouldn't you...

mmm I must call Lucy.
