Emil's Little Holiday

When Drummerboy went to Rennes and moved out into the big wide world to become a student, he took Emil with him. Emil is Kitty's offspring and Kitty was rather pleased when Emil moved out into the big world to become a student's cat in a nice dirty student appartment.

Emil has come home to have herself a little country holiday.
Porridge is eager to make friends again as you can see in the photograph.
Kitty is now only seen at mealtimes and spends the rest of the time sulking and skulking in the shrubbery planning ambushes and infanticide.

Just in case you think that I have been sulking myself this week after my last whining post...well no, I haven't.
Darling d and I have been plaiting the onion harvest. This is quite a therapeutic activity in spite of its cold comfort farm connotations. I'll be scranletting next if this goes on...

Those of you who have noticed a shocking deterioration in photo quality can blame Mysweet, who has taken the pointy camera to Edinburgh with him and left me with the rubbish one.

At least, that is my excuse...

I remember student appartments well! Hope Emil is enjoying the holiday and not sulking to much!
Happy belated birthday :)

C- Emil is delighted with the country air, it is Kitty whose nose is out of joint.

Oh yes, mother cats really don't like their grown-up children to be around. Perhaps they have it right. Two of mine (the 2 most likely to fight with each other) are hinting they might have to come for an extended stay at my house. Maybe I'll go sulk and skulk in the garden.

Birthdays can have that sort of effect. I just choose to ignore mine and try to arrange to anywhere but home at the time. This time I was in your area, although I didn't know that at the time but next time, I will get to meet you, I promise!

I think its a cat thing, not getting on. We have 2 and apart from a little play time in the evening, they studiously ignore each other.

Your onions look delicious.
