up for air

I am just briefly breaking the surface after another week of dashing between autist musicians, rowdy mechanics who dont want to learn English, a gospel choir and ABBA addicts to let you know I am still here, before diving back in again. Try to imagine starting 5 different new jobs at the same time and you will have some idea... oh and I have forgotten my 8 to 10 year olds with their super high level of English, and my adult beginners.
I take over Lucy's classes next week in a spare moment!
But on Sunday I took time to go tracking on the cliff top with Porridge, who worked very well. She will have her first competition at the end of November.
It was the first day of the hunting season and pops and bangs were flying from every bush. The weather was so glorious and hot and dry that none of the hunters we met were able to catch anything...and there were 60 partridges let loose by the local hunting club. They were all hiding safely in the unharvested maize... sunbathing probably...

That's some regime. What's the French for 'blue-arsed fly'?! I don't miss the World of Work, but now I'm a housewife I reckon I'm actually busier, moment by moment, than I was before.

Pops? Bangs? Instead of tracking/hunting, it sounds like what my head would do if I had your schedule! You are one busy woman!

Work?

I have a vague recollection of such things, but it seems to be a very distant memory.

Glad you're still breathing, I was beginning to wonder...

I'll be in touch soon, planning you lessons today! You will receive chocolates and lie-ins in heaven!

Was it safe, walking where the shooting was going on?

I'm so glad I'm out of that rat race now. Much more peaceful. :D
