But not quite the Aston Martin of his dreams.
It is doing the trick for short journeys, but the lack of suspension means that it is not too good for people with delicate backs over any great distance, especially if it is a distance with pot holes.
He has tried driving at lunchtime, when he can go in the middle of the road and avoid the pot holes because everyone French is at home eating. (I think there is a law to enforce regular mealtimes here, and I surely will be arrested soon.)
In the meantime I have my chauffeur's peaked cap at the ready once more.
