It is the "Fete de la Musique" in France and a very busy time for musicians, both amateur and professional...
My concert was Friday in Rennes, Kool drum exhibition on Saturday morning (early and 90 kilometres from here in the opposite direction!), Darling daughter played a concert on Saturday night, and then everyone in her group came back to our house to party the night away. After a while, we left them to it...
Mysweet got up this morning and found his teeth smiling at him on the bathroom floor, and the cup that he had left them in was missing.
I would like to have seen the expression on the face of the person who tried to drink some water in the night and was attacked by the demon choppers.
And this afternoon, a Beatles jam that I had told my students about, so I had to go, although my house was still pulsating with happy party goers who had been given duties like ...unblock the sick in the bathroom sink... which would perhaps have been better supervised.
The Beatles jam happens every year in a nearby bar, and there are usually lots of participating musicians. A little fatigued by the previous evening, I dragged keyboard and dog through the door of the bar and met the expectant eyes of about 100 members of the public waiting for their sing along... I was the only musician who had turned up. Never mind, Porridge and I had a great time and it was wonderful to see how many French people had all the songs by heart. My keyboard skills just about stood up to the test. And I have three new students who want me to teach them to sing.
Porridge is snoring by the front door. I dont think I have ever shared a stage with a dog before...

Never appear with kids or animals. So they say.
Hee hee, did Porridge sing?
Porridge expressed herself artistically in the way she does best... she emitted waves of "wet dog about to go mouldy smell" instead of sound waves
i am certain you were not upstaged
If you listed the great art of the 20th Century the Beatles would be right up there. I think it's nice that the French know the words.
z- I have got rid of the kids but the animals persist.
Lucy- I am training Porridge to sing much to the entertainment of my family. It is not going well.. She recognises a request to be quiet or to make noise, so it is barking or silence, but sometimes she does a good groan by accident. I am working on it.
T- she was asleep...so, no..
Anne- The Beatles surely are right up there. My music school collaborates with the conservatoire here, and imagine the joint theme they have proposed for this year: ROCK 'N THE UK...with the Beatles,King Crimson and Genesis. I'll dust off my Beatles sheet music then...
Still laughing about the teeth :)
