back to the real world

Time for new plans.
And a deep sigh of relief.

I am sure that I have made the right decision.

The difficulty is to keep in mind that it is a positive thing to try something, discover that it isn't working and to act before it is too late.

I am now apparently available for unlimited maternal chauffering duties ( there is a downside to everything ) . There was a storm this Saturday, and I took Darling d to a Fest-noz in town.

Don't ask. You are better off not knowing what a Fest-noz is unless you are fond of bag pipes.

I am not fond of them, so home I came straight afterwards to spend a wonderful evening on my own. Sometimes I feel guilty that I enjoy my own company so much...it can't be healthy...

Perhaps it is the natural effect of family life on an only child.

Well, when I say on my own, there was someone waiting for me when I got back.

In effect an only child (brothers a decade older), I too like time to live to my own rhythms.

A furry face is always welcome. Love the eagerness you caught there.

(But I do love bagpipes - a severe character flaw.)

One of the odd things in my French refresher evening class that I always remember was a line in the textbook: 'Elle a horreur des binious bretons!'. Occasionally I trot it out in the first person to see the response and it's always worthwhile.

So glad you've done the deed. Hooray hooray and one for Porridge too!

I happen to like bagpipes. Not at too close quarters though.
Nothing like a dog to greet you lovingly!

I kind of enjoy that alone time too. Especially if "company" involves bagpipes.

I am the eldest of 4 but I love having the house to myself..I am very selfish with my time and don't like to share it with anyone.

Hope that your stresses in life are resolving themselves. I used to have dreams about odd babies as well when I was in my 30's. As I was training to an art therapist at the time, I probably put a lot my thought into my dreams than I do now. By trying to understand them, I actually came to a more mature relationship with my Mother which had been stuck of the age of 10 for way too long!

Grand image!

being alone is good, so long as you can talk to someone afterwards!

Good for you, good for you, good for you. I'm sure this took a lot of courage. Life's too short for masochism, be it a matter of overwork or bagpipes.

Awww, that face. Eagerness to see you combined with relief that you left the bagpipes behind.

Ah, such nice parallels in leaving chaos and discord behind for more breathable territory...

I'm adding that to my Tome of Things To Remember.

ps: found you through a link from Lucy.

thanks for your comments all, new friends, old ones, and those lost and found again...

I really cant bear binious..they are a type of bagpipe that make a sound that feels like knives slicing into your ear drum.
