Keep away from my bone

This would be frightening...but look closely...where are the teeth? It is hard to snarl when you are a retriever and your mouth is flobby. Barking is all you can manage.

I'd be quite mad about the eye too if I'd just uh, dumped a bone. Especially one that size.

Ummm.

I had to look closely to see what was going on there.

I do like the mad eye look. I need to try to perfect that.

Friends have 2 Goldens. Even if they are displeased, they still look as if they are laughing!

meggie, Porridge is unusual as a retriever inasmuch as she barks...a lot...when excited. And she is very bouncy, rather like a bowling ball if you are out walking with her, as Lucy has discovered to her cost!(struck but still standing)
Mrs G...you are right, we are not talking about a scary dog in the conventional toothy sense...more in the run for cover sense, if she is heading in your direction for a strike.
