gasp...holidays

Only three days to go and we have a little holiday in France for two weeks.
This is very welcome since the term has been a little longer than usual, and I am finding that what patience I have left is stretched extremely thinly. My head is still above the water but only my parting is visible.
Last Saturday was jam night for my Cole Porter singers, and the ladies let their hair down in a big way after a very intensive workshop experience. We played with some jazz musicians from the conservatoire, which was an exciting and terrifying experience for the singers. A bit like getting in a Ferrari with no seat belts when you are used to an old Ford Anglia, and only on Sundays at that.

Darling daughter arrived in time to sing a very well received duet with her mother at the end of the night. I am amazed that she could fit this in since the group she is currently singing with have just won another competition which involves them playing at some big festivals (TRANSMUSICALES Rennes) and having lots of money spent on them it seems...
The group is called BUMPKIN ISLAND, and the music rather haunting.

That's a mighty fine piece of singing. DD is showing the way.

Fine singing, and it's something to see how DD is developing. She is holding that band together, going by that performance.

The music is indeed haunting. Beautiful singing, beautiful voice.
