music meme

I been tagged by Lucy to reveal my Springtime listening. I am very busy at the moment, so most of my listening is work oriented... not that it hasn't been a delight to rediscover Otis Redding, Marvin Gaye and Aretha Franklin and sing their songs with my students.
But here are a couple of examples of listening for pleasure to be going on with.

This is Darling D singing at her first open air festival on Friday.

And here is a link to another lovely voice, Blue Roses
I shall be on patrol around your blogs as soon as work permits...

I can't believe how much you two look and sound alike although your singing styles (from what I've seen so far) are different. I'd love to hear a duet.

Wow! Look at her go - very impressive, you are so lucky to have such music in your life as a family - it must be so rewarding.

Even unto the second generation... And her accompanist looks as though he's having a great time too.

dingo, she does sound a bit like me at times but I suppose that isnt surprising
Daisy..I miss the contribution of Drummer boy now he has left home and stopped tapping on the dinner table all the time while we are eating...funny how all drummers do that
Dick, she is lucky to have met antoine, he is a very determined musician and writes his own music...so she is getting going on her own stuff now

Isn't she brave and clever getting up and doing that!

I've been here before but didn't have time to check out the music. I'll be back again to Blue Roses, they sound good...
