the credit squelch

Times being what they are, we are obliged to liquidate our assets.
We decided to go to a car boot sale to make our fortune.
Some of us brought teddy bears to sell.

Some of us brought perfumes from India, and musical instruments that they had made them selves from gas cylinders.

Some of us brought their old frocks that were impossible to get into cos they had got too fat just a tiny bit too small.
Some of us were capable of selling just about anything..

to anyone...

Then the rain started...

 in earnest.

Wet dogs...

 ...attacked innocent glove puppets.

And Darling d...

...took lots of arty photos.

But when we went home, our assets had become liquid...
even the ones that we hadn't sold...

Oh no! It looks like there was some great stuff there though- I do love a good car boot sale especially in France. You all look very good humoured despite the weather!

Hope you are now warm and dry.

Daisy, it was enormous for French standards, but everything kept disappearing under tarpaulins, so luckily Mysweet h didnt spend all his winnings on other peoples rubbish.
Zhoen, we are warm and dry but the clothes are all still drying out in front of the fire...

What interesting items. It almost makes me want to go to a yard sale. Especially the plastic boobs.

tristan, we were forced to keep quite a few antiques...I will give them to EMAUS, the french charity.

We really need to have one of these, to thin down the ever increasing piles of 'thingsthatusedtobeuseful'.
