thanks for your comments all...you are a patient lot arent you! It is a warming thought to imagine all those cyber best wishes being beamed at me in times of need.
I also live with The Black Dog and am considering medication for the dark months of January - March, but right now I find that kicking him firmly in the butt from time to time suffices.... I hope that you find relief soon as spring approaches and, hopefully, those beautiful Breton-blue skies return...
I am an ex-Londoner living in rural Brittany, France, for the last 18 years, with my family and far too many animals and wood stoves: these ramblings, some of which are cross, are about life in the countryside, and how to cope when your high heels are replaced by clogs.

I was just about to text you, didn't know what else to do, afraid to pick up the phone...
Thought I'd check here first. Thank goodness.
I'll keep on thinking about you, but now not in ignorance.
(sending warmest hugs)
hooray ! you're back !
*hug* I'm here if you need me.
I think "hope" is the theme for 2009 for me, too.
Love,

Yes, the yellow of spring is starting. Thanks for the wonderful photo. And for blogging.
Happy New Year and thank you for enlivening my 2008, I hope it continues in 2009.
HOPE things get better soon, and for a good year!
Oh Rosie, Please feel better soon! I have been thinking about you.
I wish brighter days to come.
Hugsxx
Friends in abundance here, Rosie, all on tap for comfort, laughter, meaningless blather, or just companionable silence until the snows recede.
I think of you often, you're a treasure!

I had wondered - glad to know you are hanging in there!
Happy New Year to you too. Hope 2009 brings you all the happiness you could wish for.

I too suffer from depression during the winter months, which doesn't exactly work when I live in the Seattle area!
Best wishes in overcoming!
