Birthday boy

Today is Mysweet H's birthday. So I have decided to celebrate him... because he is rather special, and I have never met anyone like him.

Here he is at a friends wedding day, nearly nineteen years ago, full of life and optimism about what life would bring.

He is a very enthusiastic collector. Some of the things he collects have found more favour with me than others... I much prefer the old microphones to the old tractors (which was a mercifully short phase...)

He throws himself with gusto into cooking, gardening, building...wood...and wood stoves (oh well)... and talking! He loves to tell stories about his rock and roll touring days and he is still capable of surprising me with one I havent heard yet.

He is a super Dad, and somehow I knew he would be when I met him.

And I think that nineteen years later he still looks rather good!

His outgoing gregariousness is the perfect antidote for my moody introspection.
He copes heroically with my manic depression and knows his way around a wine cellar. Perhaps these two are related phenomena...

Happy Birthday dear...
